Diana Triplow – Mary Doyle General Manager

As an organisation our people are the most important part of how we operate.

Our teams are responsible for living our vision and values. These are what drives the care, service and companionship that we provide to our all-important residents.

Our General Manager, Diana Triplow is responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the village. Diana commenced as the General Manager at the Village in 2002. Diana is a Registered Nurse with over 28 years management experience and completed her Advanced Diploma in Nursing alongwith a Degree in Health Services Management. Diana was awarded the 2012 Retirement Village Association Manager of the Year Award for New Zealand.

Our village co-ordinators, Lyn Townrow and Maria Deane, are responsible for the marketing of our villas and apartments. Our Village Nurse is responsible for co-ordinating care delivery within the village. These staff both co-ordinate activities and support for our village residents.

A Registered Nurse is on site at all times.  Each care area has a Care Manager who is a professional nurse. In addition there are Enrolled Nurses, Caregivers, Household staff, Maintenance and Grounds staff to ensure Mary Doyle’s residents are fully catered and cared for.

We value the importance of education and recognise this by having a full time educator to run a comprehensive inservice training programme. Our caregivers receive NZQA qualifications through ACE Core, ACE Advanced, ACE Dementia and Careerforce Training programmes. Our cooks and kitchen staff hold additional nzqa units in food safety and handling. Key staff hold current First Aid Certificates.

Our facility also contracts other medical professionals to support residents where needed, these include but are not limited to General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Dietitian and Podiatrist.

Mary Doyle is a member of the Retirement Villages Association and New Zealand Aged Care Association.
